Shop Llama participates in the Amazon Services LLC Associates Program, an affiliate advertising program designed to provide a means for sites to earn advertising fees by advertising and linking to Amazon.com.

As an Amazon Associate I earn from qualifying purchases.

This means when you click one of our product links and make a purchase on Amazon, Shop Llama may earn a small commission, at no extra cost to you. The price you pay is exactly the same whether you use our link or type the URL directly into your browser.

Product prices and availability shown on this site are pulled live from Amazon and are accurate as of the time the page was last built or refreshed. Prices and availability can change quickly, so always verify on Amazon before purchasing.

Our opinions are our own. We only recommend products we actually believe in (Stephanie has very high standards and a surprisingly accurate nose for bad deals). Commission income never influences which products we feature or what we say about them.

Privacy Policy

What we collect

Shop Llama is a static website and collects almost nothing. The one exception is the optional Deal Alert email signup described below. Everywhere else on the site, there are no user accounts, no comment sections, and no contact forms.

Deal Alert email ("Stephanie's Deal Drop")

If you choose to sign up for our free weekly deal-alert email, we collect your email address and the deal topic preferences you selected at signup.

That information is processed by MailerLite (our email delivery provider, MailerLite Privacy Policy) and is used only to send you Stephanie's weekly Deal Drop. We do not use it for any other purpose and do not sell it to anyone.

Signup uses a double opt-in process: after you submit your email you will receive a confirmation message from MailerLite asking you to click a link before your subscription is activated. Every email we send also includes a one-click unsubscribe link. You can opt out at any time, no questions asked.

Cookies & tracking

Shop Llama does not set any cookies of its own and runs no analytics scripts, tracking pixels, or behavioral-profiling tools (no Google Analytics, no Meta Pixel, no heat-mapping, no session-replay software, none of it). If your browser shows you cookies on this domain, they were not placed by us.

Google Fonts

This site loads fonts from fonts.googleapis.com and fonts.gstatic.com (Google's font CDN). When your browser fetches those font files, Google receives your IP address and the referring page URL as part of a normal HTTP request. This is a technical side-effect of using web fonts hosted by a third party. Google's handling of that data is governed by Google's Privacy Policy. We have no access to or control over that data.

Amazon links & Amazon's cookies

When you click a product link on this site, you are taken to Amazon.com. Amazon is an entirely separate website with its own privacy policy and its own cookies. Our affiliate tag (robertmwilliams-20) is appended to those URLs so Amazon can credit any commission. What Amazon does with your data once you are on their site is governed by Amazon's Privacy Notice. We do not receive any of your Amazon browsing or purchase data.

Shop Llama Deal Finder (browser extension)

We offer an optional Chrome browser extension, Shop Llama Deal Finder, that points you to matching Shop Llama deals while you shop on Amazon. It is built to collect as little as possible:

• On Amazon product and search pages it reads the product title or search terms locally, in your browser, only to work out which deal category you are viewing. This never leaves your device.
• It requests one public file from this site, shopllama.shop/deals-feed.json (a list of deal categories and counts). That request contains no personal data and no information about what you are browsing. It is the same file for everyone.
• When you click through, your browser simply opens a normal Shop Llama page. It stores only a single on/off preference and a short-lived note of dismissed tips, in your browser's local storage. Nothing is uploaded.

The extension has no accounts, no analytics, and no tracking, and it does not collect or sell browsing history. It never modifies Amazon pages beyond adding its own dismissible tip, and it never adds, rewrites, or injects affiliate or purchase links on Amazon. The affiliate links live here on Shop Llama, not in the extension.

Stephanie's Sniff Test (extension version 1.1 and later)

The extension also includes an optional, on-demand price check called Stephanie's Sniff Test. It only runs when you click the "Sniff this page" button in the extension popup. Here is exactly what happens when you do:

• Your browser grants the extension one-time access to the page you are currently viewing (Chrome's activeTab permission). The extension does not have standing access to sites other than Amazon, and it reads nothing until you click.
• It reads the product or cart item names on that page, along with the prices shown next to them, locally in your browser.
• Only those item names, their listed prices, and the name of the store website (for example walmart.com) are sent to shopllama.shop/api/sniff so we can build your price comparison report. No URLs, no account details, no payment information, and nothing else from the page is sent.
• That list is stored under a random report ID so your report page can load, and it is automatically deleted after 30 days. It is not linked to your identity, and we do not use it for anything except showing you the report.

Cloudflare Pages (hosting)

This website is hosted on Cloudflare Pages. Cloudflare processes standard web server access logs (IP addresses, browser type, pages requested, timestamps) as part of operating and securing the hosting infrastructure. We do not have access to individual-level log data. Cloudflare's handling of that information is governed by Cloudflare's Privacy Policy.

Data sales & sharing

We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal data. The only data we collect is the email address and topic preferences submitted through the Deal Alert signup, and that data is shared only with MailerLite (our email delivery provider) for the sole purpose of sending the weekly email you requested.

Children's privacy

This site is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect information from children.

Changes to this policy

If anything material changes about how this site works (for example, if we ever add an analytics tool or a contact form), we will update this page. The "Last updated" date at the bottom will always reflect the current version.
