If romantasy has a canon, A Court of Thorns and Roses is its first entry. Five books are out, and the fandom's decade of waiting is finally over: ACOTAR 6 arrives October 27, 2026, with book 7 following January 12, 2027. They are one story split in two, and preorder pages are already live.

Is A Court of Thorns and Roses on Kindle Unlimited?
No. ACOTAR is not in Kindle Unlimited as of July 16, 2026, and as a Bloomsbury series it is unlikely to ever be. Kindle editions run about $10 each and the paperback box set is a perennial deal item. This is a buy series, not a borrow series.

ACOTAR 6 lands October 27, 2026
Sarah J. Maas announced ACOTAR 6 for October 27, 2026 and ACOTAR 7 for January 12, 2027: one giant story split across two volumes, with more still being written. Preordering the Kindle edition locks the price and delivers it the second it releases.
The TV adaptation at Hulu is dead. Maas got the screen rights back in March 2026 and may shop the series elsewhere later, so the books remain the only way into Prythian for now.
The audiobook angle
The full series is on Audible. Book 1 is a popular first trial credit, and the series pairs well with a reread before the October release.
